Course Synopsis

This degree is for you if you:

  • wish to obtain a general education in those disciplines that underlie the theory and practice of management, while still specialising in economics

  • are interested in general management or if you want to pursue further training in management and corporate disciplines.

Programme aims

To provide an in-depth study of economics with management options that will enable you to look analytically and critically at management issues.

Graduation Requirements

Students who enter the degree via the Standard Entry Route need to sit 12 courses. Up to 4 exemptions may be awarded.

Such students need to pass at least 10 courses or the equivalent (any exemptions awarded will count towards the total of 10 courses) to graduate.

Students who enter the degree via the Graduate Entry Route need to sit 9 courses. No further exemptions are awarded.

Such students need to pass all 9 courses to graduate.

Programme structure

The degree consists of 12 courses when taken through the Standard Route and 9 courses through the Graduate Entry Route.

The programme has been developed by academics at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), regarded as an international centre of academic excellence and innovation in the social sciences. This degree will prepare you for a career in accountancy, banking and general management.
