He was the CEO and Executive Director of a company listed on the SGX and returned to public practice as a Chartered Accountant which he had previously practised for 16 years. He started his career with an International Audit firm and also worked in commerce and industry for 13 years.
He is currently a Fellow Member of the ACCA, ISCA, and CPA Australia, Accredited Tax Advisor and a Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. He had been a part time lecturer preparing students for professional accountancy examinations since 1975 and currently conducts CPE courses and in-house training for commercial entities and government agencies.
He was Chairman of the ITE’s Business and Services Academic Advisory Committee from 2002 to 2010 and a Member of the Singapore Technical Advisory and Certification Council [2001-2010]. He was a member of ISCA Examinations Committee and other Committees previously. He was recipient of an ISCA Gold Medal Award for long service. He was also a member of the Complaints and Inquiry Panel under the Public Accountants Board and Public Accounting Oversight Committee (2004-2008).
Mr Kent Jeffrey Wilson
Kent has completed undergraduate qualifications in engineering and accounting as well as an MBA. Additionally, he is currently completing a PhD through Deakin University that focuses on the accounting profession in China.
Complementing his university qualifications, Kent holds professional memberships of both CA (Australia & NZ) and CPA (Australia).
Kent brings over 30 years of his working experience to the classroom. His professionalism has been honed across a broad range of industries and includes exposure to: supply chain management, contract administration, profit and loss responsibilities, management reporting, banking and finance, business development, corporate training, small business ownership as well as acting as a company director. This blend of experience gives him an outstanding ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds as well as providing a degree of “real world” grounding to the courses he presents
. Having gained his professional experience in Australia, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia as well as Singapore, Kent brings an ability to work with and bring the best out of cross cultural teams.
Ms Laksha Mehta FCCA, CA (Singapore), MBA
Ms Laksha Mehta has about fifteen years of extensive experience working in areas of Financial and Management Accounting. She has held various management roles ranging from Senior Financial Analyst, Head of Strategic Innovation & Cost Audit and Assistant Director of Finance before embarking to SAA-GE as Programme Director, Professional Programme.
She has worked in one of the largest Shipping and transportation company listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) which provided vast experience to hone her financial and management skills. She had opportunities to work with Mckinsey and Morgan Stanley teams in improving and enhancing business processes. Through her hard work, she was promoted to Head of Strategic Innovation and Cost Audit, reporting to the President of Shipping unit, advising on financial, statutory and regulatory matters. Later she embarked her career in a Statutory Board where she took on the role of Assistant Director (Finance).
Ms Laksha is a passionate educator and has taught professional programme since 2007. Her teaching style has enabled her students to understand the difficult concepts easily. Many of her ACCA students have passed their papers at their first attempt
Mr Ng Kam Cheong
Alan is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK and a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). He obtained his Master degree in Finance from the National University of Ireland in 2002 and Master of Art in Chinese Language & Literature from the Beijing Normal University in 2012.
Alan has over ten years of working experience in the Financial industry before joining the educational profession in 1993.
He first started teaching part time LCCI courses in a private school. Alan joined SAA Global Education in 2008 as a Lecturer. He teaches the University of London international programme and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2014. Apart from his teaching role, he is currently heading the Associate Taxation Technicians Singapore – Specialist Certificate in Taxation programme, CIMA-CFO and Macquarie University Master Programme. From November 2016 onwards, he has widen his roles and duties by managing a bigger portfolio – ACCA programme and start up a new programme – ISCAAAT and bring in a new short course – CIMA-MCS. He also conducts Business Mandarin seminars for ISCA Continuing Professional Education (CPE) since 2012.
