About Mr. Fung Chee Kong

BAcc (Hons), MSc, CA (Singapore)

Mr Fung graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) degree in 1989 and he obtained a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics (LSE), UK in 1994. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

Mr Fung started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co, an international public accounting firm after graduating from NUS. He completed the firm’s audit training in Chicago before embarking on the exciting journey of external audit and review. As an auditor in the firm, he undertook numerous engagements which included companies in the insurance, services, hospitality, retail and manufacturing sectors. Besides financial audits, he was also involved in operational and internal control reviews for the clients of the firm.

In 1993, Mr Fung obtained a scholarship from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and did his postgraduate studies in the UK. After graduating from LSE, he joined the Department of Accountancy of the Polytechnic where he taught audit practices and audit software applications. He has also conducted various in-company training courses on accounting, audit and internal controls. He has ample of experience in delivering courses for ACCA Paper F8, P1 and P7 in Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong and major cities in China. He is a registered mentor for the Research and Analysis Project of the OBU BSc in Applied Accounting degree.
