About Mr. Fung Chee Kong
BAcc (Hons), MSc, CA (Singapore)
At SAA-GE, he is the lecturer for the module ‘Advanced Audit and Assurance’ of the ACCA qualification.
Mr. Fung is a subject specialist in auditing and assurance. He started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co, an international public accounting firm after graduating from NUS. As an auditor in the firm, he undertook numerous engagements which included companies in the insurance, services, hospitality, retail and manufacturing sectors. Besides financial audits, he was also involved in operational and internal control reviews for the clients of the firm. He left the firm to pursue his postgraduate studies in the UK under a scholarship from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. After graduating from LSE, he joined the Department of Accountancy of the Polytechnic where he taught audit practices and audit software applications. He has also conducted various in-company training courses on accounting, audit and internal controls.
Mr. Fung graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) degree and obtained his Master’s degree from the London School of Economics (LSE), UK. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. He is a registered mentor for the Research and Analysis Project of the OBU BSc in Applied Accounting degree.
