Do you know a Verb is a noun in action? Explore with our English Teacher, Mr Fredrick and learn more English in Yang Ren Shuo EP 19
Good morning, good afternoon and good evening. This is Fredrick Cabanes the Head English Teacher here at SAA Global Malvern House in Singapore.Today I want to introduce to you, ‘Verbs’. It isn’t difficult. Because ‘Verbs’ are in Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese. In English we use it the same way. We have regular verbs and irregular verbs.
For our regular verbs we will always use the same base words, but we will change the ending. An Irregular verb we will actually have a different verb and a different word for each verb tense.
What is a ‘Verb Tense’?
A verb tense is just ‘Action + Time’ because in English we wouldn’t know when the verb is ‘doing’ for that noun. Or when did this verb happen? Is it the start of the action or the end of the action? The process of the action, the action changing, the action as the habit, a very old action or the future action?
I will tell you more about those in the next episodes. But today I want you to understand a ’Verb’ is easy. You do it in your language and we do it in English.
Have a good evening!
